Mr. Jones graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting from the University of Georgia in 1968. Mr. Jones began his career in public accounting after college graduation with Coopers and Lybrand, an international accounting firm. In 1976, he founded a Certified Public Accounting firm that was the predecessor to Jones, McKnight & Edmonson, P.C. His experience is diverse with significant emphasis in auditing and accounting and providing a wide range of financial, management and tax consulting.

Mr. Jones is a recognized authority on utility matters, having on numerous occasions testified as an expert witness before the Georgia Public Service Commission. Mr. Jones has considerable experience dealing with the Public Service Commissioners in the states of Georgia, Florida, South and North Carolina. He has also taught numerous training courses and conducted various seminars through the years.

Mr. Jones has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1971. He currently holds an active certificate in the State of Georgia. His professional memberships include: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Gwinnett Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants
